How We Develop Investment Strategies
The Foundation develops goals and strategies to achieve its mission before allocating any investment. On an annual basis we determine the most pressing challenges facing the animal shelter and conservation community, select those areas we feel our financial resources can achieve the greatest possible impact, and prioritize within those focus areas.
We will review our progress toward our vision, reflecting on past lessons learned, and will refine and pivot as the Foundation grows.
How We Make Investments
Once the prioritized strategies are defined, we will determine the funding and resource allocation for each strategy. We will then collaborate with grantee and partner organizations to develop proposals that align with these strategies, including how success would be defined and what data would be used to measure the outcome.
At this time, the John R. Peterson Foundation does not accept unsolicited grant proposals.
